Harrisburg Firm Begins Construction-Management Scholarship

A Harrisburg firm, named by Central Penn Business Journal as one of the region's fastest-growing companies for three straight years, has started a scholarship fund for students in Pennsylvania College of Technology's Construction Management bachelor-degree major.
The fund was begun by Reynolds Construction Management Inc., which has managed more than $1 billion in regional construction projects since its inception in 1994. Its market encompasses public- and private-sector clients including education, municipal government, corrections, health care and hospitality.
Initiating the scholarship effort was Jim Paschke, Reynolds' senior project manager and a member of the Construction/Carpentry Management Technology Advisory Committee in the College's School of Construction and Design Technologies.
"This is the first year of this scholarship and we thank Reynolds Construction for its interest and support of our students," said Joann M. Kay, director of the Penn College Foundation.
A $1,000 award will be given each year ($500 per semester) beginning in Spring 2005; preference will be given to continuing students in subsequent years. Applicants must be enrolled full-time in the Construction Management bachelor'smajor sophomore status or above and be eligible for financial aid.
