Cooley, seated, takes part in Trimble's scarf workshop Another hands-on activity was held Friday to supplement the "Japan Juxtaposed: Traditional Textiles/Modern Images" exhibit in The Gallery at Penn College (Madigan Library, third floor) through Aug. 6. The workshop, "Stitched Shibori on Pashmina Scarves," was held in the library and at the Bush Campus Center. Instructor Sandy Trimble, of Indiana, taught students about traditional Japanese Shibori stitches and techniques.
