Hands-On Activities Raise Disability Awareness


Insight through others' eyes Project A.B.L.E. Computer keyboard, designed for someone with limited arm use, is fully adjustable and can be separated into three sections Disability Awareness Day, a walk-in event sponsored by Disability Services and held Thursday in Penn’s Inn, exposed participants to the barriers that people with disabilities sometimes encounter. Interactive activities called Project A.B.L.E. (Acceptance by Learning Experience) were offered by The Center for Independent Living, and examples of adaptive equipment were on display.Photos by Jessica L. Tobias, student photographer
