Visiting the welding facilities in the MTC Taking reporters' questions Dan Onorato, Democratic candidate for governor (against Republican Tom Corbett, Pennsylvania's attorney general) toured Penn College on Tuesday and held a press conference in the Center for Business & Workforce Development. Onorato, chief executive for Allegheny County, visited the renovated welding labs in the Avco-Lycoming Metal Trades Center and discussed the college's role in preparing workers for the natural gas industry within the Marcellus Shale play.
