Graphic Design Students to Display Works in Gallery

The Gallery at Penn College, on the third floor of Pennsylvania College of Technology's Madigan Library, will host a graphic design student portfolio exhibit from May 2-13.
During their careers at Penn College, graphic design students learn creative design through courses such as graphic design, type design, computer graphics, interactive media and Web-based graphics, and illustration. The exhibit will feature works from student portfolios, including posters, books, magazine spreads, corporate identity, logos and more. This is an opportunity to see what senior-level graphic design students have created.
An opening reception for the exhibit will take place Tuesday, May 6, from 3:30 to 7 p.m., with a talk by Joseph Loehr, associate professor of English/mass communication and the media arts department head, scheduled at 5:30 p.m. Gallery hours are Saturday and Sunday, 1 to 4 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday, 2 to 8 p.m.; and Wednesday and Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. All exhibits are free and open to the public.
Also on exhibit May 2-13 in the gallery lobby will be ceramic works by Williamsport Area High School student Rachel Kempf, winner of The Gallery at Penn College Artistic Excellence Award.
In addition, The Key of V, made up of sibling duo and Penn College students Erin M. and Valerie A. LaCerra, will perform a concert in the library Monday, May 5, from 8-9:30 p.m.
