Golf Team Wins EPCC Regional Championship

    The Wildcat golf team repeated as Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate ConferenceNorth team champion and finished at 320 to win the12-team EPCC Regional Championship at Golden Oaks County Club in Fleetwood on Monday. Penn College's Shaun McQuaywas the medalist in the regional win with a five-over-par 77. The College had three of the top five golfers for the day: Mc Quay was followed by teammate Jeff Kerr, who shot 78; Tony Stopper, 82; Gilbert Balliet, 83; Brandon Smith, 84; and Scott Dawson, 88. Chet Schuman was named "Coach of the Year" for the North Division of the EPCC. The win ended the team's rain-shortened season with a record of 21-0 and extended its two-year record to 66-0. Next week, the team will conclude its season at the Commonwealth Championships at Penn National Golf Course.
