Give the Gift of ‘Green’ This Holiday Season

When preparing to celebrate holiday giving, consider these tips from the Sierra Club’s “Fun Ways to Green Your Holiday Gift Sharing.” Natural toys, those made of wood, will help children connect with the environment. If making your own gifts, use materials you have, and use water-based paint and nonvinyl coverings. If recycling, be safe with the construction of products used. When purchasing products, look for country of origin. Save energy in transportation costs by ordering from home, buying items made in the United States or making your own. These PCToday “green tips” are especially mindful of children all children and are provided by Penn College’s Energy Conservation Special Committee.
