Gernert USCAA/PSUAC Women’s Volleyball 'Player of the Week'

    Courtney GernertSophomore Courtney Gernert (Palmyra) was named the United States Collegiate Athletic Association and Penn State University Athletic Conference women’s volleyball Player of the Week for the period ending Sept. 30. Gernert, a graphic design major, racked up an impressive 38 kills, 76 digs and five service aces in the Wildcats’ 3-2 week. Her 20 digs against Misericordia University on Sept. 29 were a career high. The honor is her first on the year. So far this season, Gernert is ranked second in the PSUAC for digs with 130. She is averaging 2.7 per set, third in the conference. Gernert and the Wildcats travel to Lackawanna College on Thursday for a 6 p.m. game.
