Gernert Named PSUAC Women's Volleyball 'Player of the Week'

    Courtney GernertJunior outside hitter Courtney Gernert, of Palmyra, was named the Penn State University Athletic Conference Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week for the period ending Sept. 8.  In her team’s two games, Gernert totaled 17 kills, averaging 2.83 kills per set.  She also notched four aces and digs.  This is her first honor of the season. This season, Gernert is leading the Lady Wildcats with 24 kills averaging 2.67 kills per set.  She also leads in service aces (5). Gernert and Penn College host Penn State Hazleton on Thursday for a 7 p.m. match.
