Exhibit continues 'til June 26 Artist Meredith Setser A pleasing blend of texture and color Textile 'grotto' transforms gallery space Patrons meet the artist A gallery talk and Meet the Artist Reception on Thursday officially opened "Floreal Stratum," a display of textile art by Meredith Setser, in The Gallery at Penn College. Setser's work features large installations primarily composed of handmade and industrial felts printed with traditional processes, such as etching, relief and screen printing. The installations reference landscape and architectural phenomena such as grottoes and cave formations and incorporate debris and plants. On the third floor of Madigan Library, the gallery is open 1-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday and Friday. It will be closed Memorial Day Weekend (May 28-30.) Beginning June 1 and throughout the summer, the gallery will be open 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 1-4 p.m. Sunday (closed Saturday and Monday). All exhibits are free and open to the public.
