Gallery Exhibit to Feature Artwork by Penn College Employees

The Gallery at Penn College, on the third floor of Pennsylvania College of Technology's Madigan Library, will host an employee exhibition May 14-June 30.
More than 25 Penn College faculty and staff members submitted more than 50 original works of art for the exhibit. The works include paintings, photographs, wood, ceramics, mixed media, fiber and metal.Penn College values the service and hard work of its employees and recognizes that it is important for them to cultivate their nonwork endeavors. The campus shines with creativity, and The Gallery at Penn College arranged its first employee exhibition to applaud that creative spirit.
A highlight of the exhibit is three works by William H. Ealer, who was an assistant professor of architecture and the college's longest-serving faculty member when he died Feb. 14. The works two watercolor paintings and an architectural rendering were bequeathed to the college by Ealer's estate and will be hung in a permanent location on campus after the exhibit closes.
An opening reception for the exhibit will take place in the gallery from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 14.Gallery hours are Saturday and Sunday, 1 to 4 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday, 2 to 8 p.m.; and Wednesday and Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. All exhibits are free and open to the public.
The employee exhibition is part of the gallery's Penn College Proud Showcase, a series that highlights the artwork or personal collections of members of the Penn College, Williamsport Area Community College or Williamsport Technical Institute family, including alumni, faculty and staff, and retirees.
