Did you know that almost 3 million new chlamydia infections and another 600,000 new gonorrhea infections occur each year in the United States? Remember: There usually are no symptoms, but there is treatment. Student Health Services can help. STD and HIV testing will be offered by appointment only from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20,in the Student Health Services Office (CC, Room 150). Screenings for chlamydia and gonorrhea will be provided; HIV testing will be available for those falling into a “high-risk” category. No blood test is required; it is as simple as urinating in a specimen cup. Call ext. 7224, e-mail or stop by the office to set up an appointment for your free and confidential testing.
