Fraternity at Penn College to Hold Second Annual Car Show on May 1

A spring car show, sponsored by The Pennsylvania College of Technology Colony of Sigma Nu Fraternity, will be held Saturday, May 1, on the college's main campus in Williamsport.

Students, faculty and staff, and the public are invited to show their vehicles at the second annual event, scheduled for the parking lot of the Carl Building Technologies Center. Signs will direct participants from the college's Maynard Street entrance and from Third and Park streets.

The sign-up cost is $8 by April 26 and $12 thereafter (including event-day registration from 10 a.m. to noon). Registrants may contact organizer Steven E. Ritter at 814-574-3873 orby e-mail , or they can use the online form .

All proceeds will go to the Sigma Nu Leadership Initiatives Fund, which is used to sponsor campus events that help all students develop character, interpersonal skills and leadership.

Admission for spectators is free; refreshments and food will be sold on-site by local vendors. Prizes will be awarded at 3:30 p.m. in 18 categories of cars, trucks and motorcycles. Vehicles will be judged by show participants.

"If it rolls on wheels, we'll find a class for it!" said Ritter, a computer aided product design student from State College.
