Senior Tara Powell (Burgettstown) and sophomores Caitlyn Curley (Middletown), Courtney Gernert (Palmyra) and Kelly Hebert (Wellsboro) all made the cut in the Penn State University Athletic Conference All-Conference awards for women's volleyball.  Powell, Curley and Gernert were selected to First Team, while Hebert made Second Team.

The all-conference awards are voted on by each member institution of the PSUAC and are based on performance throughout the season.

This is Powell’s third time on the all-conference team.  This year, she leads the conference in service aces (36) and is second in kills (230).  She has been an all-around player for the Wildcats, also ranking in digs (263), and was named PSUAC Player of the Week this year.

This is a first-time for both Curley and Gernert.  Curley stepped into the setting position for Penn College this year, ranking third in the PSUAC in total assists (421).   Gernert has been a force offensively and defensively this year with 219 kills and 276 digs.  She ranks second in the PSUAC in digs and third in kills.  Both Curley and Gernert have earned United States Collegiate Athletic Conference and PSUAC Player of the Week nods this season.

Hebert has been a dominant presence at the net this year, leading the team and PSUAC in blocks.  She totals 88 on the year and has also been a consistent hitter with a .234 hitting percentage, ranking her fifth in the PSUAC.  This is Hebert’s second time being named an all-conference player; she was Newcomer of the Year in 2011.

The Wildcats next travel to Canton, N.Y. for the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Women’s Volleyball Championships.  The team is slated to start competition on Friday, Nov. 2, taking on No. 1 seed Daemen College at 1 p.m.
