Area Boy Scouts experienced the outdoor laboratory of Penn College's Schneebeli Earth Science Center during Forestry Youth Camp from June 11-13. The Allenwood-area campus offered a variety of fun and informative hands-on activities fora dozen 14- to 16-year-olds, including an introduction to forest measurements, global positioning, forest-fire management, kiln-drying of lumber, wildlife appreciation, a look at Pennsylvania's rich forest history and archery instruction.
