'Cat TalesMen's Basketball Joe Simon (Renovo) scored 26 points, including 12 of 13 foul-shooting, in a loss at Penn State Abington. Monday, Penn College begins its first of four consecutive home games entering Penn State DuBois in a contest that coach Gene Bruno says will "be a shootout. I'm going to let them run."

Women's BasketballBrittany Blessard (Renovo) scored 25 points and pulled down eight rebounds and Amy Fassett (Athens) chipped in with 16 points as the Lady Wildcats fell at NCAA Division III Alfred (N.Y.) University.

Returning to Penn State University Athletic Conference action on Saturday, Blessard scored 24 points, Meagan Morris (Herndon, Va.) added 18 and Amanda Ault (Athens) chipped in with 13 in a win at Penn State Abington. The Lady Wildcats have a busy week coming up with games Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.
