Final ‘Cyberbrief’ Addresses Challenges of IT Security


Online security 'Our Shared Responsibility'The continual challenge of computer security is the topic for this week’s final entry in the Information Technology Services-PCToday series of weekly Cyberbriefs in recognition of October’s designation as National Cybersecurity Awareness Month. “IT Security an Ongoing Process,” compiled by Daniel R. Bennett, information technology security analyst for ITS, offers tips that include credit monitoring, regular virus/malware scans and security patches, and staying current withinformation. Previous weeks’ pointers about “Passwords and Encryption,” ” Protecting Yourself From Identity Theft and Fraud ” and ” Social Networking and Online Classifieds Safety” remain available online.
