Fifth Annual BLaST Computer Fair Held on Campus


'Attack of the Killer Paperwads' just one of the more whimsical creations among more serious fare BLaST's Ralph Zeigler judges one of the computer-fair entries A regional computer fair for middle- and high-school students from 19 area districts, sponsored by BLaST Intermediate Unit 17, was held Monday and Tuesday at Penn College. Students competed in categories including Web-page design, desktop publishing, logo design, digital moviemaking and graphic design. Visiting students also took part in a Quiz Bowl, workshops on robotics and routers, and campus tours. Penn College faculty/staff joined BLaST personnel in judging the variety of impressive entries. Middle School winners go on to the state level in Harrisburg on April 25; high school winners will face state competition in Carlisle on May 22. ( Photos by Amanda M.
