Fax-Machine Cartridges Added to Beneficial Recycling Program

The program to recycle printer cartridges at Penn College has produced another check for the general scholarship fund.
The Penn College Foundation recently received the check for $235 from the Cartridge World store at 1818 E. Third St. in Williamsport, for empty inkjet and laser cartridges turned in by college employees. Since it began in March, the recycling program has resulted in a total of $366 for the general scholarship fund. The recycling program is now accepting empty fax-machine cartridges, along with empty inkjet and laser cartridges made by HP, Lexmark, Canon, Dell, Epson and Brother. The cartridges can come from College-owned or home-owned printers and fax machines.
Employees can send the empty printer and fax-machine cartridges through interoffice mail to Joe Geffre, director of mail and document services, DIF #167, or drop them in the cartridge-recycling bin located near the Student Activities desk in the Bush Campus Center.
Recycling bins have been placed in on-campus housing complexes for students to donate their empty cartridges.
