'Scott' Welch Representatives of Penn College’s School of Natural Resources Management joined alumni relations and admissions staff at the Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg on Wednesday. The “Horticulture Wheel of Fortune” was very popular with youngsters, who would spin the wheel to identify the topic (soil, botany, landscaping, etc.) on which they would be asked a question. College representatives then would talk a little about the program and ask visitors to enter a drawing for an MP3 player or thumb drive. Representing the college were Barbara A. Danko, director of alumni relations; Todd W. Leister, admissions officer; and Misty D. Kennard-Mayer, the school’s coordinator of retention and matriculation (who provided these photos to PCToday). Also on hand were William P. “Scott” Welch, instructor of diesel equipment technology; Donald Nibert, assistant professor of forestry; Jack E. Fisher, laboratory assistant for forest technology; and Joseph D. Plummer, horticulture lab assistant. “It was truly wonderful to have the faculty there to speak with prospective students and alumni,” Kennard-Mayer said. “Their presence made this a memorable experience for the folks that stopped by our booth!”
