Opening Night for the fall intercollegiate Wildcat sports teams was held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Penn College’s Athletic Field. Full stands of fans cheered the men’s soccer team to a 3-0 victory in its match against Baptist Bible College, and met the coaches and players from the women’s soccer, tennis and volleyball squads; and the cross-country and golf teams. There were free hot dogs, soda and chips; giveaways of mini soccer throw balls and thunder sticks; and an opportunity to play a halftime game to win prizes. The evening’s sponsors were the Student Government Association, Phi Theta Kappa honor society and the Athletics department.
