Faculty/Staff Invited to ‘Main Street’ Program

What is a Main Street Program? How does it work? What are the results?

These questions and more will be answered by Susie Hamilton, executive director of Wilmington Downtown Inc., who will speak from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, in the Heim Building at Lycoming College.

Returning the downtown to a full range of cultural events, casual and fine dining, and shopping amid historic architectural charm is the passion of many local residents. Hamilton will explain the planning behind the successful implementation of the Main Street Program in Wilmington, N.C., a town with many similarities to Williamsport.

For more information contact the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce at (570) 326-1971.
