Asesh K. DasAsesh K. Das, professor of computer science in Penn College's School of Business and Computer Technologies, recently was nominated by one or more current or former students to be included in the 10th edition of "Who's Who Among America's Teachers."

"Words cannot express the joy and honor of being remembered by students this way," said Das, who continues as a multiple-year honoree, having also been honored in 2004 and 2005.

Since 1990, "Who's Who Among American Teachers" has celebrated teachers, coaches or other adult leaders for their leadership, inspiration and demand for excellence, as nominated by students from "Who's Who Among American High School Students," "Who's Who Among American High School Students Sports Edition" and "The National Dean's List."

Only 5 percent of the nation's teachers are honored each year, and fewer than 2 percent are included in multiple editions. The 10th edition of "Who's Who Among America's Teachers" will be published in October.
