Faculty Member Featured Book Reviewer at Brown Library Event

    Laura M. DickinsonLaura M. Dickinson, associate professor of English-composition, will be the presenter at Friday's Friends of the James V. Brown Library book-review luncheon. A five-year member of the Penn College faculty, Dickinson will review Jonathan Franzen's "The Corrections" winner of the National Book Award and "Freedom." Both have been bestsellers, earning Franzen the cover of Time magazine (a rarity for a new author). Reservations for the optional lunch, which begins at noon and costs $5, are required by calling 326-0536. The review begins at 12:30 p.m. in the Lowry Theater on the third floor of the library's new Welch Wing.
