A variety of Penn College faculty members participated in the 2014 Summer Teaching Institute, a day and a half of professional development focused on more effective teaching practices. Held at the Schneebeli Earth Science Center beginning Tuesday morning, the institute features more than a dozen workshops and breakout sessions on topics that include first-year student issues, storytelling, assessment tools and social media. The keynote speaker was Karl Kapp, a professor of instructional technology at Bloomsburg University and assistant director of the Institute for Interactive Technologies.
