A bountiful – and body-building – yieldRaised-bed garden is just the right height for youthful cultivation. The calendar may say October, but the girls and boys at the Dunham Children’s Learning Center are still enjoying vegetables from their garden. The raised bed was built by General Services horticulturists Andrea L. Mull and Chad L. Karstetter in the spring; the children planted the garden later that season and faithfully cared for it during the summer. Cucumbers, green peppers, green beans and tomatoes taste delicious when the children pick them, wash them and savor a snack!
