The Energy Conservation Subcommittee of Penn College's Governance system and the School of Natural Resources Management's Horticulture Department are collaborating on a new weekly PCToday feature: Saving Energy and Green Living. This week's tip from the subcommittee: Unplug rechargeable appliances (cellphones, iPods, razors, vacuums, battery chargers, etc.) when not in use. They use energy even when not recharging, dormantly plugged in. Contacts for the "Green Tip of the Week" feature are Gail B. Landers , group leader at the Children's Learning Center and a subcommittee member, and Carl J. Bower Jr. , horticulture instructor.
