Edwin Dorris Paintings to Be Exhibited at College Gallery

A collection of 15 works by the late Edwin Dorris will be displayed March 17 through April 1 at The Gallery at Penn College, located in the Bush Campus Center at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

Dorris, a California native, studied design and painting at the Art Students League of New York. He lived and painted in Lisbon, Portugal, from 1953-75 and in Paris from 1975 until his death in 1985.

The collection was donated to the College by Dr. and Mrs. Jeff Porter of Williamsport, Nick Porter and Todd Porter. Dr. Porter will be available to answer questions at the exhibit opening, which is scheduled for 4:30 to 7 p.m. on March 17.

Special viewing hours will be available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, in conjunction with Spring Visitation Day at the College. Subsequent viewing hours will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 to 6 p.m., or by appointment.
