Economics Professor Presents at Two Conferences

Dr. Abdul B. PathanDr. Abdul B. Pathan, professor of economics at Pennsylvania College of Technology, presented talks recently at two conferences.

In January, Dr. Pathan was invited to speak at the American Economic Association's annual convention in Philadelphia. There, he shared his experience teaching Web-based distance-learning courses in economics.

In February, Dr. Pathan attended the annual conference on "Teaching Economics: Instruction and Classroom Based Research" hosted by Robert Morris University and McGraw Hill/Irwin Publishing Co. He presented a paper, "Assessing Student Learning in Macroeconomics," that will be published in the conference proceedings later this year.

Dr. Pathan has taught at Penn College since 1987. He earned his doctorate at the University of Houston and master's degrees from Williams College in Massachusetts and Dhaka University in Bangladesh.
