EarthSmart Club Conducts Semiannual Litter Pickup

    EarthSmart, the environment and biology club, conducted a semiannual litter pickup of its assigned 2-mile portion of Northway Road on Tuesday. The litter collection is in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation; members who braved chill winds along the highway: Aaron Hottenstein, Sarah Fleming, Katie Huffman, Lucas Larson, Bryan Delio, Asya Allen and Andrew Christoffel. The club's faculty advisers, Debra A. Buckman and David L. Evans, accompanied the students and did their share, too! After the session, everyone got together for pizza and soft drinks at a nearby restaurant.
