Earth Smart Students Host Child-Care 'Earth Day'

    Whatever the crayon, 'green' is the color of the day in Penn's Inn Outside the Campus Center, students Jason R. Grottini and Adrianne R. Watkins show children how to plant white-oak trees Children's Learning Center youngsters listen raptly to a reading of 'The Lorax' Two senior environmental technology management students Jason R. Grottini and Adrianne R. Watkins provided several environmentally based activities for Children's Learning Center youngsters Friday in preparation for "Earth Day." Activities included a reading of Dr. Seuss's "The Lorax," coloring activities related to conservation and recycling, and planting of white-oak trees that the children could take home. The students are members of the college's Earth Smart club, whose activities include highway cleanup and work with area watersheds.
