Donkey Basketball Back on Campus


A player readies to ride to the basket during last year's game in Bardo Gymnasium.Due to the great success of last year’s Donkey Basketball event during Homecoming, and thanks to overwhelming response from the Penn College community, Donkey Basketball is coming back. As part ofthe college’s2007 Homecoming celebration, Donkey Basketball will be heldat 8 p.m.Thursday, Oct. 11, in Bardo Gym.

Donkey riders are needed. The teams will be faculty/staff vs. students. All of the riders who participated last year had a blast. If interested in reserving your spot on a donkey, you can register at the Student Activities Office in the Bush Campus Center. The cost has been lowered to $15 per rider. Details will be provided upon registration. Reserve your spot today.

Tickets for Donkey Basketball can be purchased at the CC Information Desk or at the door prior to the game. Ticket prices: $3 for students; $5 for faculty/staff/alumni; $7 for community members; $3 for children-ages 5-12 (Children under 5 are admitted free); $15 for donkey reservation. Donkey Basketball is an effort to develop the Student Leader Legacy Scholarship Fund, a scholarship program for student leaders at Penn College.
