Diversity Issues Tackled in Campus Presentations


Tim Wise Speaker sparks interest for ACC lecture The Student Government Association, along with the Student Activities and Residence Life offices, sponsored speaker Tim Wise on Wednesday night in the Klump Academic Center Auditorium. Wise gave a lecture about “White Privilege and Dismantling Racism,” covering such issues as historical scars for people of color, struggles, racial advantages for whites and racial profiling. “I was thrilled with his presentation and that so many Penn College students took the time to come out,” said SGA President Brian D. Walton. Wise also addressed diversity during a Thursday professional-development session for college employees.
