Director of Residence Life Begins Duties at Penn College

Brian M. JohnsonBrian M. Johnson has been named director of residence life at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

Johnson, who began his duties on June 29, comes to Penn College from Loyola University Chicago, where he worked for six years and was associate director of residence life.

Previously, he was employed by Virginia Tech and by the Ronald McDonald House Charities in North Carolina. He also worked for three years as a commercial banker in North Carolina.

"Brian comes to Penn College with a broad spectrum of skills and experience," said Ward W. Caldwell, special assistant to the president for student affairs. "These attributes, combined with energy and enthusiasm for creating strong residential communities, will benefit our campus, and more specifically our students, greatly. Brian is a strong addition to our Student Affairs leadership team."

Johnson earned a bachelor's degree in child development and family relations from East Carolina University. He holds a master's degree in educational leadership from Virginia Tech.

He and his wife, Pam, are the parents of twin daughters, Avery and Sophia.
