Dental Hygiene Student Dies in Weekend Vehicle Accident


Tracy A. GarisTracy A. Garis, of Hellertown, a dental hygiene major, Resident Assistant and Student Ambassador at Penn College, died Friday, June 4, as a result of a traffic accident on Interstate 80 in Luzerne County. Friends are invited to call from 9-11 a.m. Thursday at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown, with the service at 11 a.m. Penn College flags were lowered to half-staff and a memorial brick will be placed in her honor in the Remembrance Garden. Individuals who wish to speak to a counselor can call the Counseling Center at 570-327-4765.
