After an icebreaker activity and presidential welcome in Penn's Inn, the visitors heard presentations from Rich Hill, an educational specialist for the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources; explored careers in fitness with college faculty and students; and learned how paramedics must "expect the unexpected" when responding to emergency medical situations. Student Ambassadors led the group on a campus tour before lunch in the Capitol Eatery, where parents and guests alike – alerted to bring their cameras because "you never know who might show up" – met a campus celebrity. Themed "Work in Progress," the day ended with participants job-shadowing their parents and mentors.
