Credentialing Agency Certifies Penn College Health/Fitness Specialist

A health and fitness specialist at Pennsylvania College of Technology’s College Health Center has been designated as a Certified Health Education Specialist by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing Inc.

The certification for Kristi L. Hammaker, who joined the Penn College staff as Fitness Center supervisor in 2000, is the culmination of two years of classes at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania and a written examination. The CHES designation after a health educator’s name is an indication of competency and commitment to continued professional development.
