In an effort to meet the needs of returning graduate students in the Williamsport Region, Penn State Continuing Education will offer the services of academic and vocational counselor Dr. Jean Duffy on Oct. 20, Nov. 17 and Dec. 15 at the Williamsport Continuing Education Center at 2401 Reach Road in the Williamsport Industrial Park.

Dr. Duffy has served as a counselor for adult students at Penn State for more than 15 years. Her master's and doctoral degrees in counseling have given her the knowledge necessary to help students establish goals and set up personal education plans.

Duffy explains that getting a graduate degree is finally within the reach of Williamsport residents. "Now that Penn State offers courses locally at the Williamsport Continuing Education Center, students no longer have to constantly travel to State College to get to class."

To provide additional help, Duffy has worked with Continuing Education to establish evening, weekend, and online courses. The flexibility of these courses has already helped hundreds of adult students reach their educational goals.

"Returning to school isn't easy," Duffy points out. "It's my job to show adults how getting an education can fit into their lives."
