Enrollment Management has announced the schedule for the Spring and Summer 2020 Commencement exercises, combined into four ceremonies over two days (Aug. 7-8).

The updated information was provided in a Wednesday message to students from Carolyn R. Strickland, vice president for enrollment management and associate provost:

Ensuring the health and safety of our students and their families during this COVID-19 pandemic is a top priority; therefore, we have postponed our Spring 2020 Commencement ceremonies and rescheduled them for Friday, Aug. 7, and Saturday, Aug. 8. These will be combined ceremonies for all Spring 2020 and Summer 2020 Penn College graduates.

We cherish the opportunity to share in your significant accomplishment and to join you in a collective celebration with your friends, families and classmates. In order to accommodate all graduates and their guests, we will hold four separate ceremonies, based on the current academic school configuration.

The schedule and related details for all August 2020 Commencement ceremonies can be found online.

In early May, we will send a follow-up email to all students who have completed the graduation requirements that make them eligible to participate in commencement. At that time, we will invite you to complete an online RSVP to let us know if you intend to participate in your designated August ceremony. We realize that you may not yet be certain of your future plans, so we want to give you a few weeks to decide.

We are all hopeful for the day we can come together to celebrate one of the most important hallmarks of your educational experience, and we hope that you will be able to join us for commencement!

Questions about commencement details should be directed to the Registrar's Office.

The revised schedule: Nursing & Health Sciences, 4 p.m. Aug 7; Construction & Design Technologies and Sciences, Humanities & Visual Communications, 10 a.m. Aug. 8; Business & Hospitality and Transportation & Natural Resources Technologies, 1 p.m. Aug. 8; and Industrial, Computing & Engineering Technologies, 4 p.m. Aug. 8.
