College's 'Awesome Women' Again Honored

Kinley A group photo Penn College inducted its fourth group of Awesome Women Exemplars this week, honoring employees and students for their inspirational presence on campus. In accordance with this year's theme, "Women Taking the Lead in Saving the World," all students, faculty and staff were encouraged to nominate any Penn College female they admire. Nominators and their honorees then were invited to a Women's History Month Appreciationevent at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Professional Development Center's Mountain Laurel Room. Carolyn R. Strickland, assistant vice president for academic services (among the past recipients who received honorary recognition this year) was the keynote speaker. Nominees received reusable recycling bags and were treated to a Le Jeune Chef Restaurant-catered reception.
