Using an infrared thermal imaging camera, an expert from Penn College’s Weatherization Training Center was featured inan energy-efficiencypiecethat aired during Newswatch 16’s 7 p.m. newscast Tuesday. “Forty percent of your bill is actually in air loss, not in insulation,” Larry D. Armanda told WNEP’s Norm Jones. “So about 40 cents of every dollar spent in heating is actually going out of your house in air flow. So we can find those air-flow problems or where that air is leaking out of the house and cap that. You’ve saved a great deal of money.”
