College to Offer Social Networking for Business Workshop

Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology will offer an Introduction to Social Networking for Business workshop on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
The noncredit workshop will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Center for Business & Workforce Development on the main campus in Williamsport. The cost is $20, which includes a light lunch. A spring session will be offered on Tuesday, March 2.
The short workshop provides an introduction to four popular tools (LinkedIn, Twitter, Blogger and Facebook) and demonstrates examples of how and why to use them.
The workshop will benefit those have been considering the use of these tools but don't know where to start, or those who simply want to take the next step in learning more about what they are and why people are flocking to these media.
The fast-paced, short session is targeted for the entry-level or novice user and anyone who enjoys getting more from social media to improve business.
