College to Celebrate Women's History Month in March

Pennsylvania College of Technology is offering a variety of events and activities for the college community and the public to commemorate Women's History Month in March.
All events are sponsored by the Student Activities Office, with the exception of "The Vagina Monologues," which is co-sponsored by Penn College and Lycoming College.
"The Vagina Monologues," by Eve Ensler, directed by Kevin Hickman7:30 p.m. March 1-3, Community Arts Center, Williamsport Join women from the Williamsport area for a night of laughter, tears and cheers as they present Eve Ensler's "The Vagina Monologues" in a unique new fashion. Tickets are on sale at the Community Arts Center box office and the Bush Campus Center information desk. Proceeds from the Penn College-Lycoming College event will benefit CASA of Lycoming County and Wise Options. Singer-guitarist Mallory Scoppa will open the show at 7 p.m.
"A Changed Life The Power of Education," with Gerri Luke 6:30 p.m. March 20, Penn's Inn, Bush Campus Center What would you tell your friends and family if you could leave them with one last thought? Student-selected professors were asked the same question, and Gerri Luke, professor of business administration and marketing, is prepared to provide her answer. Luke will discuss her belief that education has the power to change lives, her reasons for choosing education as a career and her passion about the opportunities provided through a quality education.
Open Mic Night, with Nadine Zahr9 p.m. March 22, Penn's Inn, Bush Campus Center Nadine Zahr offers an aural canvas of vibrant indie-pop tints, earthy roots-rock hues and bluesy gospel-soul textures. Born the daughter of Palestinian refugees, Zahr's work has been colored by a complex life.
