College Store Awards $1,500-Plus to Student Organizations

During The College Store’s end-of-semester textbook buyback in December, students selling back textbooks were given the opportunity to vote for their favorite student organizations. Student clubs were encouraged to participate by decorating voting containers into which students could drop their voting chips. This event is sponsored by The College Store to promote the benefits of selling back unwanted textbooks during the end of the semester. The College Store thanks all of the organizations that participated and encourages more groups to take part in the promotion at the end of the spring semester.

After all the votes were tabulated, The College Store awarded the following amounts to the participating clubs’ accounts:

  • First Place – Student Nurses’ Association, $375
  • Second Place – Architecture Club, $300
  • Third Place – American Sign Language Club and Student American Dental Hygienists’ Association, $225 each
  • Fourth Place – Occupational Therapy Assistant Club, $150

The following clubs each received $50 for participating in the promotion: Service and Operation of Heavy Equipment Association, PC Alliance, Wildcat Events Board, Inter-Greek Council and Phi Theta Kappa.
