Cisco Networking AcademyJeffrey B. Weaver, associate professor of electronics and computer engineering technology, recently received notification and a plaque commemorating the 10th anniversary of the college’s involvement with the Cisco Networking Academy. Since 2002, the program has provided Penn College students with real-world skills in network routing and switching that have complemented their associate or bachelor’s degree and expanded their options when seeking positions with major companies, regionally and nationally. “This program has been a very good opportunity for students to enhance their skill set in routing and switching technologies and has provided the means for many to obtain positions in industry that may not have been previously possible,” Weaver said.  “We have even placed six students with Cisco Systems itself, five in just the past two years.” Penn College’s Cisco Networking Academy offers courses that prepare students for the Cisco Certified Network Associate and CCNA Security certifications. For more information, contact Weaver by email or in Room 156 of the Center for Business & Workforce Development.
