College Library Program to Address Provisions of 2003 Tax Act

“Tax Tips: What’s New This Year?” a program by Phillip D. Landers, professor of business administration and accounting, will be presented Wednesday, Jan. 21, at the Pennsylvania College of Technology Library.

In the presentation, which will be offered from 5 to 6 p.m., Landers will address provisions of the 2003 Tax Act.

Among the topics to be covered are the decrease in tax rates, the increase in the child tax credit, marriage-penalty relief, the decrease in long-term capital-gains rates, and new qualifying dividend rates.

The program is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided. The library is located in the Learning Resources Center on the main campus at Penn College.
