‘Chef Paul’ to Help Observe National Ethnic Foods Month at Library

Chef Paul E. Mach, co-host of Pennsylvania College of Technology’s award-winning PBS cooking series, “You’re the Chef,” will make miso soup in a cooking demonstration at the College Library on Friday, Sept. 21.

The event, which begins at noon, is being sponsored by the library, the School of Hospitality and the International Programs Office at Penn College in celebration of National Ethnic Foods Month.

Those attending will be invited to taste Mach’s creation. Mach, an assistant professor of food and hospitality management/culinary arts in the School of Hospitality, joined the Penn College faculty in 1992. He received the faculty’s highest honor, the Master Teacher Award, during Summer Commencement ceremonies Aug. 11.

Mach, who co-hosts “You’re the Chef” with Tom Speicher, the College’s broadcast media specialist, earned associate’s degrees from the Culinary Institute of America and Erie Community College and a bachelor’s degree from Empire State College of the State University of New York.

The College Library is located in the Learning Resources Center at Penn College. For more information about the library, visit on the Web.
