He was set to tour other schools in the afternoon. Penn College offers a semester-long study abroad opportunity to its students at CQU, and Devenish is exploring the prospects of placing students here, both to study and to gain industrial work experience.

CQU's interest in studies at Penn College includes not only a full semester of traditional classes and laboratory activities but also bringing students here during the summer for a special series of laboratory projects using Penn College's extensive variety of laboratory equipment.

Devenish was also interested in fostering both semester-long and short-term, two week visits to CQU and its surrounding industry and cultural sites by Penn College students.
