Penn College sports teams have light week

During a light week scheduling-wise because of the Thanksgiving holiday, just one Pennsylvania College of Technology sports team saw action.

Hosting crosstown rival Lycoming College on Tuesday, the Penn College women lost, 63-46, to drop to 0-3. Madison Klock, of Elysburg, led the Wildcats with 17 points. Penn College bench players outscored Lycoming’s bench, 46-12; the Warriors, however, led in points in the paint, 42-12.

The men’s basketball team returns to action at 6 p.m. Monday when it hosts Lycoming at Bardo Gymnasium, and the men’s and women’s hoop teams begin North Eastern Athletic Conference play on Wednesday at College of St. Elizabeth. The college’s wrestlers step back onto the mats Friday at the Messiah College Petrofes Invitational.

Penn College men set for hoops opener, XC at NCAAs

The men’s basketball team is set to open. Cross-country runners are prepping for their final event of the season. Wrestling is underway, and the men’s and women’s soccer teams completed their seasons after reaching the North Eastern Athletic Conference semifinals. These are busy times for Pennsylvania College of Technology athletics.

Penn College wrestlers set to open, soccer teams playoff-bound

The start of the wrestling season at Pennsylvania College of Technology is just days away and North Eastern Athletic Conference playoffs loom Tuesday for the men’s and women’s soccer teams.

In action over the past week, the men’s and women’s cross-country teams competed Saturday in the NEAC Championships at Lancaster Bible College, with the men placing third among 11 teams in an 8K race and four of its runners earning all-conference honors and the women ending fourth among 11 teams in a 6K race with three individuals among the top 21 and earning all-conference nods, while the fall seasons wrapped up for the men’s golf and women’s volleyball squads.

A busy week is on tap as Pennsylvania College of Technology cross-country runners seek individual and team titles Saturday when they compete in the North Eastern Athletic Conference Championships in Lancaster while the men’s and women’s soccer, golf and women’s volleyball teams wrap up their regular seasons.

Penn College Golfers Seek Continued Success

Coming off its best season ever in North Eastern Athletic Conference play with a third-place finish in the spring – and with three returning all-conference players and another who ended in the top 20 – Pennsylvania College of Technology golf coach Matt Haile has plenty to be optimistic about as he enters his 10th season. The Wildcats open their fall season Wednesday at the Keuka College Invitational.

Penn College Coaches Hopeful

Five of eight Pennsylvania College of Technology fall sports teams debut in nonconference action this week as the men’s soccer team opens at 7 p.m. Friday at Hood College, the women’s soccer team begins at 7 p.m. Friday at King’s College, the men’s and women’s cross-country teams open at 6 p.m. Friday at Misericordia University, and the women’s volleyball opens at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lycoming College in a quadrangular that includes Clarks Summit University and Wilkes University.
