The Campus View/Village team held on to win Sunday's Powder Puff Football game, according to this recap from Jeremy Bottorf, intramural/Fitness Center assistant: Abby Gliem set the tone as she intercepted College West/Rose Street's first pass. The team couldn't cash in on the turnover, though, and the score was 0-0 after the first quarter. Campus View/The Village started the second quarter by driving the ball downfield, scoring on Melissa Berrier's pass to Kat Potocek. The score remained 6-0 at the half. College West/Rose Street began the second half with an on-sides kick, which Lauren Post returned for a touchdown and a 12-0 lead. And just when College West/Rose Street started driving again, Potocek intercepted. College West/Rose Street refused to go down without a fight; Erica Fallecker led a drive down the field and topped it off with a quarterback sneak into the end zone to make the game 12-6. The College West/Rose Street team drove again as the clock ticked down, but Jackie Smith intercepted and sealed the victory. Bottorf thanks the girls and coaches from this semester's Powder Puff games among on- and off-campus students. He also thanks Jeff Faherty, Tristan Mummert and Michael Womelsdorf for working the chains; Jamie Rottmund for working the clock; and Craig Flint and Greg Solyak for refereeing.
